Sunset Love

For a few weeks now, Sebastian and I have been seeing each other maaaybe an hour a day during the week & a few extra hours on the weekends. To some people, that's pretty normal. To us, not super normal. Before June 16th, I didn't have a job & was home all day & before June 9th, Sebastian worked at Chick-fil-A during the day then had every night off. So he would go home, shower, and come to my house until it was time to go back home, sleep, and do it all over again.

Now, Sebastian is working two jobs & I'm working full-time & our schedules completely overlap. He goes to work at 5:30, I go to work at 8:30, he gets off at 2:30, I get off at 5:30, he goes to work at 6:30 & gets off at 9:30 or 10. Since I'm working forty-five minutes away from home, there's not usually time to see each other between jobs - maybe 5 minutes if we're lucky. But! The good news is that he has off from FedEx every Saturday & Monday night & has off of Chick-fil-A every Sunday. And I'm off those times, too. :) So Saturday & Monday are always hopeful date nights.

This past Monday, we went to our favorite Chinese take-out then grabbed a blanket & went to the beach. Going to the beach with Sebastian is always a big deal for me because he absolutely hates sand. There's not much he wouldn't do in place of having to deal with sand. But he surprised me & off we went.

On our way there, we drove over a bridge just in time to see the perfect neon pink sun starting to set over the water. Of course the photographer in me cried at the thought of missing out on such a sunset, so Sebastian put his foot on the pedal & got me to the beach pronto (don't worry mom, he was very safe. ;)). We got out of the car & I ran up the sand hill and back down & across the beach to get to the shore line. I'm sure everyone around me thought I'd never seen the sky before, but that's okay. It was worth it. ;)

^ I have no idea why we're all glowy. That's probably something I should figure out, though. Haha ^

We sat, we talked, we ate, we walked, we held hands, & I was smitten. Maybe we'll make this Monday night beach walking thing an every week gig. There's just something about the sound of crashing waves that gets to me. And in case you were wondering, that purple thing is my lanyard with me keys on it. He wears it well, yeah?

Thanks for loving me, babe. You're my absolute favorite. :)
