Dark Skies, Swaying Trees, and Falling Rain

So far, Hurricane Sandy has been quite enjoyable for us. We're still praying for those who will be hit hard by it. God is in control!!

In other news, Once Upon A Time is tonight! 8:00. ABC. Be there. :)

In a Nut Shell

I could spend hours trying to tell you all that we did this past week, but we all know that none of us have the time for that. So, come take a look at our Florida trip through my camera lens!

And we're off!

While getting gas, we saw this awesome car.
I'd drive it.

Spent the night in a hotel so Ryder could lay back, relax, and watch TV.
"This is the life."

Started our second day of traveling with a Starbucks trip.
Ordered the most disgusting coffee they have.

Went adventuring at Aba's house.
I do, in fact, know that those sunglasses + my cheek bones = bug eyes.

Went to Walmart where I locked the keys in the car.
Had to pay $40 for a locksmith to come save us.

Went swimming in a spring.

Made awesome faces with my awesome boyfriend.
Fell more in love with this fellow.

Drove around Jacksonville in the rain with the love of my life.

Went bowling.
I almost broke our lane.

Broke my iPhone case.

Got a new iPhone case.

Went out to dinner with four of Sebastian's aunts.
Unfortunately, Aunt Elizabeth isn't in this.

Watched this little boy discover his laugh.

Experienced the bi-polar Florida sky.

Was entertained by Lydia's impersonation of a swimming baby.
You'd think she'd done it before.

Walked to dinner carrying my favorite little man.

Had terrible service at Cracker Barrel.
Our meal was half off.

Went to South of the Border.
Walked through the Reptile Exhibit.

Spent loads of time with this cutie.

It was a great week.

Let's Go Swimming

Since Monday, Sebastian, Lydia, Ryder, and I have been in the "Sunshine State", and since Monday, it's rained. Not constantly, but often. However, there's something about sitting next to an open window while watching the raindrops fall from the sky that makes it more relaxing and less drowsy. I'm okay with the rain.

This morning, we woke up and got ready to go to "the springs". It's a spring off of the Suwannee River which is what Lydia's grandparent's house backs up to. The water was clear and you could see every fish that was swimming around. Well, maybe not every fish, but a lot of them!

The water was cold. Like, took a cooler that's ice melted and poured it on yourself cold. Ryder loves water. Bath time is his absolute favorite and he smiles and giggles more than any other time if he's in the bath tub. Since the water was so cold, the plan was to just barely put his feet in the water to see if he would like it. His expression?

So, not so much. But once we walked around for a few minutes and tried again, he thought it was great. Then, once we took off his diaper and let him go skinny dipping, he thought he was in Heaven. :)

Swimming in a spring was fun. More nature-like than going to the beach. Plus, I'm a huge fan of clear water. :)
