Sebastian & I have have been together since I was fifteen & he was seventeen years old. We've gone through hard times together, & we've come out stronger because of it. We've learned so much about each other that I can't imagine what more there is to learn, although I know once we're married, it will be like we're starting over.
I was just telling Sebastian the other night that I felt like I've done a horrible job 'documenting' our engagement. I post to instagram constantly, but I haven't used my little blog the way I thought I would the past few years leading up to this exciting time in our lives. I think I'm going to go back & write about when we searched for a venue, picked out our cake, went dress shopping, signed the papers for our apartment, & bought his wedding band. The bridesmaids dinner my best friend hosted before she went back for college, & the planning, planning, planning I've done with my mama. Not necessarily just so you know what's going on in our lives, but so I can look back a few years from now & remember what our short (some would say too short *cough* mom *cough* ;)) engagement was like. I'm a big fan of details.
I'm thankful to have tomorrow off to be able to get some stuff done. There really is a lot to do in a little bit of time, although we're still trying to figure out what that 'a lot' consists of. Thankfully, I have ten bridesmaids who are all so willing to help with whatever we need help with. It's so nice to have that support, & soon enough, I'll be calling them all crying, needing chocolate & hugs & their craftiness to come save me. :)
It's a busy month for us! In two weeks, we'll be heading to Florida for Sebastian's aunt's wedding, & the day we get back, we'll get the keys to our first, oh-so-perfect apartment. Then, two weeks after that, we'll be saying 'I do' & I'll be heading off for a week with the man I'll be so beyond blessed to get to call my husband.
Well that's fun to say. :)
