Model Baby // Part Two

This morning, my dad brought Carson upstairs & set him on my bed. That cute little voice yelled, "HI, AU HANNAH!" then he gave me a kiss & said, "LUH LOO!". It was time to wake up.

Dad said Stacey had packed better picture taking clothes today (Seth was very upset about his mismatched outfit yesterday, hehe), so I got ready, got Carson ready, & we headed out to the park.

He wanted to swing & slide & climb & swing & slide & climb again. He's such an adventurer.

We had a nice, tiring day. :)

Model Baby

Stacey's gone back to work & we've been getting Carson a few times a week. Usually twice, but it's been a little extra these past few weeks, which has meant extra fun.

He's such a model baby. His smile is so perfect & his little dimples can make any bad day good.

Today, we went outside to play & I got to snag a few pictures. So thankful for cameras - making these memories locked away & tangible for years. So thankful!

Love this little boy so much!!

Aunthood

It's a gorgeous day, today. It's fall.

Church was good. I had nursery duty with my two little dudes, & it just made my heart smile. I can't tell you how much I love being their aunt.

Jesse Ryder is such a good helper. He tries to protect Carson & does everything Carson does. He's a talker & you can have straight-up conversations with him. This morning, on the way to church, he sang all of his ABC's, counted from 1-13, then 16, & 18. I gave him a doughnut & asked if he wanted to pray, then he started right in:

God is great, God is good.
Let us thank Him for our food.
By His hands we all are fed.
Thank you, Lord, for daily bread.
In Jesus' name, Amen.
Praise the Lord!

I melted. A while ago, when he was first memorizing stuff, he was always singing the Veggie Tales theme song. It was cute, but I was sad he wasn't singing Jesus Loves Me or Jesus Loves the Little Children or something like that. One day after work, I went to pick Ryder up & bring him to my house. It'd been a rough day already & I thought maybe we could start on Jesus Loves Me on the way home. I started singing:

Jesus loves me, this I know.
For the Bible tells me so.
Little one's to Him belong,
They are weak, but He is strong.

Before I could even start singing the chorus, that sweet little voice started belting out the words in the back seat:

Yes, Jesus loves me.
Yes, Jesus loves me.
Yes, Jesus loves me,
For the Bible tells me so.

I balled like a baby. After such a hard day, hearing him sing that song made everything okay. I just drove, & cried, & laughed, & sang, & loved, loved, loved little Jesse Ryder.

Carson Seth is almost two. He's learning more & more words, & he's learning how to put those words together to form sentences. He a charmer, & he's a total ladies' man. I nanny a little 6 month old girl & every time I look over, he's giving her a kiss on the forehead. He get's her paci, hands her toys, & makes sure she's a-okay.

While Grandaddy is his favorite at our house, he makes sure to share the love with everyone. Grandma is next in line, then I'm pretty sure Uncle Jesse has slipped into the next spot. He's so precious when he stands at the door and screams:

Luh loo!
*blows kiss*
Luh loo!
*blows kiss*
Luh loo!

He thinks Lexi means dog (Lexi is his dog), so when our dogs start barking (Max & Copper), he yells, "Hush, Lexi!". Or when he's eating & one of the dogs jump up, he says, "Down, Lexi!". All you can do is smile & lock these precious moments into your brain.

This little boy is meant to be a model. He's gotten to the point that when he sees a camera, he smiles. You don't need to prompt him, he just knows what to do. His smile is so contagious & his laugh is the absolute best. He's such a joyful baby boy.

I can't even begin to describe how thankful I am for the Lord saving Carson. He didn't have to. He could have called him home before he ever took his first breath, but He didn't. He breathed life into that baby in that hospital room, & He's allowed Carson Seth to impact our lives in the absolute most perfect way. I can't imagine not having this precious boy.

I couldn't be more thankful for the nephews God has given me. Growing up, I wasn't really close close to any of my aunts or uncles, & I want to make sure that's not how it will be with us. I'm thankful for a family who values family & for the perfect boys who have become such an essential part of our family. I'm thankful for Rosalie Katherina & the precious life that is growing even now.

I love, love, love being their aunt.
