4 More Years

Well, the results are in.

President Obama it is!

Yesterday, I woke up, got ready, and went to the polls. I stood in line for all of thirty-five minutes, showed my support for Mitt Romney, and left feeling All-American. I'm thankful for my right to vote. I'm thankful for the freedom to have my own opinion. And today, I'm thankful for Barack Obama. For if it wasn't God's will for him to be re-elected, he wouldn't have been.

I disagree with most things President Obama stands for. I think abortion is one of, if not the worst thing on earth. Not to go on a rant about that, but I'm not quite sure how anyone can sit back and allow the murder of an unborn, innocent child. From one of my previous posts, you all know how I feel about same-sex marriage. There are things, as a Christian, that I won't support.

This election has been brutal. I know someone who has deleted multiple people from facebook {me included} because they didn't agree with their political views. What happened to love your neighbor?

Luke 10:27 says, "And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbor as thyself."

So now we know that we are suppose to love Jesus Christ first and foremost, then love your neighbor. Not 'love those who are against abortion' or 'love those who voted for Mitt Romney', we are to love our neighbor. Period. We are to love the doctors who willingly take the life of a human being, and we are to love the man who allows it all.

Barack Obama is our president for four more years. Instead of downgrading all he is and may do, lift him up in prayer. Trust our Savior during this time!

"Our God is greater, our God is stronger. God, Your are higher than any other.
Our God is Healer, Awesome in Power; Our God! Our God!!"

Don't put your faith in a man! Put it in Jesus Christ!

The Red, White, and Blue

Tonight, I'm going to bed unsure of what I'll wake up to. President Obama? President Romney?

I'm thankful for a God who's faithful. He already knows who our next leader will be and He already knows the road America will be taken down. It may be a surprise to some, but it's not a surprise to Jesus Christ. I'm going to sleep with peace knowing that the Lord is in control.

Oh, and for my first time voting, I had a blast. What an honor it is to be able to have the slightest say in the direction our country goes in.

I'm proud to be an American.

Dark Skies, Swaying Trees, and Falling Rain

So far, Hurricane Sandy has been quite enjoyable for us. We're still praying for those who will be hit hard by it. God is in control!!

In other news, Once Upon A Time is tonight! 8:00. ABC. Be there. :)

In a Nut Shell

I could spend hours trying to tell you all that we did this past week, but we all know that none of us have the time for that. So, come take a look at our Florida trip through my camera lens!

And we're off!

While getting gas, we saw this awesome car.
I'd drive it.

Spent the night in a hotel so Ryder could lay back, relax, and watch TV.
"This is the life."

Started our second day of traveling with a Starbucks trip.
Ordered the most disgusting coffee they have.

Went adventuring at Aba's house.
I do, in fact, know that those sunglasses + my cheek bones = bug eyes.

Went to Walmart where I locked the keys in the car.
Had to pay $40 for a locksmith to come save us.

Went swimming in a spring.

Made awesome faces with my awesome boyfriend.
Fell more in love with this fellow.

Drove around Jacksonville in the rain with the love of my life.

Went bowling.
I almost broke our lane.

Broke my iPhone case.

Got a new iPhone case.

Went out to dinner with four of Sebastian's aunts.
Unfortunately, Aunt Elizabeth isn't in this.

Watched this little boy discover his laugh.

Experienced the bi-polar Florida sky.

Was entertained by Lydia's impersonation of a swimming baby.
You'd think she'd done it before.

Walked to dinner carrying my favorite little man.

Had terrible service at Cracker Barrel.
Our meal was half off.

Went to South of the Border.
Walked through the Reptile Exhibit.

Spent loads of time with this cutie.

It was a great week.

Let's Go Swimming

Since Monday, Sebastian, Lydia, Ryder, and I have been in the "Sunshine State", and since Monday, it's rained. Not constantly, but often. However, there's something about sitting next to an open window while watching the raindrops fall from the sky that makes it more relaxing and less drowsy. I'm okay with the rain.

This morning, we woke up and got ready to go to "the springs". It's a spring off of the Suwannee River which is what Lydia's grandparent's house backs up to. The water was clear and you could see every fish that was swimming around. Well, maybe not every fish, but a lot of them!

The water was cold. Like, took a cooler that's ice melted and poured it on yourself cold. Ryder loves water. Bath time is his absolute favorite and he smiles and giggles more than any other time if he's in the bath tub. Since the water was so cold, the plan was to just barely put his feet in the water to see if he would like it. His expression?

So, not so much. But once we walked around for a few minutes and tried again, he thought it was great. Then, once we took off his diaper and let him go skinny dipping, he thought he was in Heaven. :)

Swimming in a spring was fun. More nature-like than going to the beach. Plus, I'm a huge fan of clear water. :)

Three Years

Spending the better part of my night thinking about my favorite cousin. September 9th marked three years since he passed away and I still miss him more than ever.
I love you, Billy, and I can't wait to see you again!

Autumn Makes Life Better

Let me tell ya; I'm lovin' this weather!

There's something about going outside and feeling that cool breeze sweep through the air that makes me all giddy inside. When I'm asked what my favorite season is, it's always the one we're in. Then, I'll think about it and narrow it down to either spring or fall. After a long hot summer, the thought of sweaters and scarves seems so wonderful! Then, after a long cold winter, feeling the warmth of spring makes me never want to wear a jacket again. Over all, I'm a sucker for a cool night, a warm hoodie, and a perfect boy.

Fall also means Pumpkin Patches with this handsome fellow. My favorite!

Yesterday, my plan was to clean my room. It's in much need of some TLC. Unfortunately, my love for the weather overrode my want for an organized room. I went upstairs and thought things would go smoother if I got little crates to store things I don't use in. So, I left my room, got in the car, and drove to Walmart. I had the window's down, sunroof open, and radio up - perfect, right? Until I got stuck in a parking lot {meaning major traffic on Princess Anne}. Thanks to my handy-dandy-iPhone, I pulled up my maps and followed all the connecting streets which took me through five different neighborhoods. At least I was moving!

An hour later {yes, an hour}, I pulled into the Walmart parking lot. As I was getting out of the car, I reached to get my purse and saw that I had forgotten my wallet. After driving an hour to get to the nicer Walmart to get my organizational goodness, I didn't have my wallet. Bummer. I went inside anyway to see what I would end up getting, and then I left.

The sky was gorgeous and the traffic wasn't nearly as bad going home. There's a Christian radio station that I just started listening to called Air1 {97.7 fm} that plays a lot of music you've never heard before or haven't heard in a long time. KLOVE is awesome, but they play the same songs over and over and over again. Anyway, I was driving down the road when a Skillet song came on called 'One Day Too Late'. It's fantastic. The lyrics to the chorus are:

Today, I'm gonna try a little harder,
Gonna make every minute last longer,
Gonna learn to forgive and forget
'Cause we don't have long, gonna make the most of it.
Today, I'm gonna love my enemies,
Reach out to somebody who needs me,
Make a change, make the world a better place
'Cause tomorrow could be one day too late.

Well, it's be a great couple of days. Complete with being with my favorite little man.
